Military Medal

'In operations of 5th November, 1918, at the Foret de Mormal, this N.C.O. handled his subsection in a most creditable manner. Dash and perseverance prevailing throughout, he set a splendid example to his men and all those coming in contact with him. Whilst under heavy fire at Foresters House he persevered with his teams and limbers showing absolute disregard of his personal safety, he successfully overcame innumerable difficulties and rendered every possible assistance to the advance.'
