Admitted to HS 'Gascon', date not stated (gunshot wound, abdomen); transferred to Tigne Hospital, Malta, 18 July 1915; to St David's Hospital, Malta, 3 August 1915; marched into New Zealand & Australia Base Depot, Mustapha, Egypt, 16 September 1915.

Proceeded overseas to the Dardanelles, 27 September 1915; disembarked Mudros, 2 October 1915, and rejoined unit the same day.
