Meritorious Service Medal 'For constant good service and devotion to duty. This NCO performed good service through out the Gallipoli Campaign (5 months) and was severely wounded there. Since he has been with the Battalion in France he has been constant in his devotion to duty and on account of his age and long service has been a fine example to the younger NCOs, and men of the Battalion.'
