Admitted to No 3 NZ General Hospital, Codford, 8 October 1917 (scabies) and relinquished appointment of Cook; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 12 October 1917; marched out from NZ Command Depot, Codford, marched in to 4th Reserve Bn, Otago Infantry Regiment, Sling Camp, 15 November 1917; reappointed Cook on marching in 4th Reserve Bn.

Relieved of appointment of cook, 12 February 1918.

Admitted to Venereal Disease Section, No 3 NZ General Hospital, Codford, 13 December 1918; attached to Venereal Disease Convalescent Section, Codford, 28 December 1918; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 1 May 1918.

Marched in to Otago Infantry Regiment, Sling Camp, 30 May 1918.

Marched in to NZ Machine Gun Corps, Grantham, 5 June 1918.

Found guilty, 28 August 1918, of overstaying leave from midnight, 26 August 1918, until 1300 hours, 26 August 1918; awarded 14 days' confined to barracks and forfeited 1 day's pay by Royal Warrant.

Marched out from Grantham and proceeded overseas to France, 1 October 1918; marched in to NZ Machine Gun Corps Base Depot, Camiers, 3 October 1918.

Joined Bn and posted to C Company, 10 October 1918.

Detached to United Kingdom, March 1919.

Commenced return to New Zealand from Tilbury on board 'Pakeha', 12 April 1919; disembarked Wellington, 30 May 1919; discharged, 27 June 1919.
