Apppointed Temporary Cook, 1st Otago Company, 4th Reserve Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, and entitled to extra pay. Found guilty, 23 May 1917, of overstaying pass from 2320 hours, 20 May 1917, until 1200 hours, 21 May 1917; forfeited 2 days' pay and to forfeited 2 days' pay by Royal Warrant. Admitted to No 3 NZ General Hospital, Codford, 8 October 1917 (scabies) and relinquished appointment of Cook; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 12 October 1917; marched out from NZ Command Depot, Codford, marched in to 4th Reserve Bn, Otago Infantry Regiment, Sling Camp, 15 November 1917; reappointed Cook on marching in 4th Reserve Bn. Relieved of appointment of cook, 12 February 1918.
