Military Medal 'During the action on October 12th this NCO went forward reconnoitred and laid out an Infantry track to the new front line near Gravenstafel, north east of Ypres. His pluck and determination to get the work done was mainly instrumental for its completion despite the heavy machine gun and shell fire he was subjected to.'
