Meritorious Service Medal

'Operations Belle Vue Spur, 4th October, 1917 to 20th October 1917. For devotion to duty. Lance Corporal Lynn was one of the Battalion Runners and for a long period was in command of this section. At all times he rendered consistently good service and was always ready and willing to take the most onerous duties. By his cheerful and steady example, he greatly encouraged and assisted the other Battalion Runners, many of whom he trained in their duties. In the line Lance Corporal Lynn was a most reliable runner and in the execution of his duties quite regardless of danger.'
