Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty as a Company Runner during the operations against the Passchendaele Ridge on 12th, 13th and 14th October 1917. This Rifleman carried important messages to Company Headquarters in the face of very heavy hostile machine gun and shell fire over very exposed country. His coolness and devotion to duty were responsible for important information being
