Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 25 June 1917 (sprained left ankle: accidental); transferred to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 29 June 1917; discharged to unit, 8 July 1917.

Joined No 1 Company, NZ Machine Gun Corps, in the field, 8 July 1917.

Admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 11 July 1917 (sprained left ankle: old injury; 'accident did not occur whilst on duty'); transferred to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 13 July 1917, and then to 9th Australian Field Ambulance; to NZ Divisional Ammunition Column, 20 July 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 13 August 1917.
