Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the attack near La Signy Farm on 30th March 1918 with another NCO he did splendid work in bombing the enemy. An enemy machine gun in a strong point held out for an hour after the attack had been delivered. These two NCOs, led a party which bombed the enemy out and captured the positions.'
