Meritorious Service Medal 'For meritorious service and devotion to duty during the period 25th February 1918 to 17th September 1918. This NCO has served continuously with the Division in the Field since the outbreak of war. His conscientiousness, devotion to duty, and loyalty to the service has been such as to greatly facilitate the work of the Ambulance. At times when we have been in the forward posts his work has been done under artillery fire and the most adverse circumstances. His orderly room
work and untiring energy has aided greatly in making the Ambulance efficient and has helped greatly in the correct recording of the wounded in the Advanced and the Main Dressing Stations. By his conscientious work and devotion to duty, and
his meritorious service in the Field he has been a splendid example to other NCOs.'
