Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry, skill, and initiative. On the 29th September, 1918 near La Vicquerie during an advance in the dark Private Finn acted with great gallantry, skill, and initiative as a scout, leading his Company over very difficult country through
heavy enemy shell and machine gun fire. Private Finn?s skill and initiative was in a large measure responsible for the success of the whole operation. He set a splendid example to all ranks.'
