Distinguished Service Order 'Operations Somme March/September 1918. During the period under review this Officer has done conspicuously good work as Brigade Major of this Brigade. In the recent operations he has repeatedly gone round the line under very strenuous
circumstances and sized up the situation with great accuracy. His keenness and untiring energy at all times has set a splendid example of devotion to duty to the rest of the staff.'
