Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty near Hebuterne on 26th May 1918. The enemy put down a barrage on the front line and communication trenches
causing severe casualties. Rifleman Edwards, who is a Company Stretcher Bearer, showed remarkable coolness and rendered great service in bandaging the
wounded under heavy fire. Although the communication trenches were being heavily bombarded he made several trips through the barrage and succeeded in
getting all the wounded out to the regimental aid post.'
