Transferred to England, 23 August 1917, and admitted to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames. Transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 12 October 1917; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 28 November 1917, and granted leave until 2 December 1917.

Commenced return to New Zealand from Liverpool on board HT 'Tahiti', 1 January 1918; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of injuries sustained on Active Service), 17 April 1918.
