Military Medal 'For gallantry near St Julien on 13th October, 1917. An enemy shell burst at his gun in action, setting fire to the camouflage. Not withstanding continued enenmy fire and risk of explosion Dockery tore away the blazing material and stamped out the fire, thereby preventing a serious explosion of high explosive (Howitzer) ammunition.'
