Wounded in action, Gallipoli, 26 April 1915 (gun shot wound, hip joint); admitted to No 5 Indian Hospital, San Stefano, Alexandria, 1 May 1915; placed on 'dangerously ill' list, 12 May 1915; taken off 'dangerously ill' list, 17 May 1915; transferred to 15th General Hospital, Alexandria, 17 May 1915; to Convalescent Depot, Mustapha, 1 June 1915; readmitted to 17th General Hospital, Victoria, Alexandria, 7 June 1915; discharged to duty (cured), 10 June 1915.

Embarked for Gallipoli, 14 June 1915.
