Military Cross 'For gallant leadership in command of a reserve company at Le Quesnoy on 4th November, 1918. The centre company suffered severely at the start. He moved his company forward at once, and went on until the capture of the objective, on which he established his company, and succeeded in gaining touch with the flank companies. He had previously organised and directed several successful raids.'
