Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the advance on Grevillers on 24th August an against Bancourt on 30th August and 1st September. Day and night during this period he carried important messages to and from unerringly and at great personal danger in the face of unusual difficulties. The enemy was keeping all roads constantly swept by machine gun and shellfire, but when a message was to be despatched Pte Andrews was always ready and zealouss, undeterred by fatigue or the prospect of dnger. His work in previous operations, as in this, has benof a consistently high quality.'
