Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry, skill and initiative. On the 29th September 1918, near La Vacquerie when the advance was held up by enemy Machine Gun nests. Corporal Anderson with great daring and skilful use of his Lewis Gun from a forward flank position was instrumental in enabling the advance to continue to the final objective and capture of two enemy Field Guns and several Machine Guns. Has done great execution among the enemy. His gallant conduct and initiative was of a very high order.'
