Meritorious Service Medal 'For conspicuous good work and devotion to duty. During the period February 1918 to September 1918, Clark has carried out his duties with conspicuous ability and untiring zeal. During all the operations in the Somme area he has worked particularly hard to ensure rations reached the troops in the Front line. Although the roads were sometimes heavily shelled Clark by his untiring zeal always succeeded in getting supplies up.'
