Military Medal 'For conspicuous good work and devotion to duty from 17th September to 11th November, 1918. During most of the period he acted as No. 1 of a Subsection. On one occasion when his gun was damaged by hostile shelling during a Barrage, he assisted the fitter to get it into action again, although he was himself slightly wounded, and the Battery was under hostile shell fire. Throughout the operations he was of the greatest assistance to his Battery Commander, and set a splendid example to all.'
