Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry. During operations near Hebuterene on 28th March 1918 while clearing an enemy trench, three machine gun posts held up the advance of the party to which Rifleman Bromley belonged. Rfm. Bromley with great daring, let this party and, with utter disregard for his own safety, effected the capture of one gun. The party then followed the retiring enemy and captured two more guns. Rifleman Bromley's gallant and fearless conduct was an example to his men.'
