Military Cross For conspicuous gallantry during an attack. While leading his platoon to the final objective he was blown up and injured by a shell. Though suffering considerable pain, he carried on throughout, including consolidation and garrison duty, and
subsequently obtained much valuable information in patrolling forward areas. He showed marked courage, determination, and devotion to duty.'
