Military Medal 'Operations: British Front in the vicinity of the Foret de Mormal, 5th November 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the above operations Private Wright was in command of a Lewis gun Section. He pushed his gun forward to a very exposed position on the flank and enfiladed the machine gun which was holding up our troops thus enabling the advance to continue. By this prompt and
brave action he undoubtedly saved many casualties.'
