Military Medal 'Action in front of Serre: 27th March to 5th April 1918, and particularly on 5th April 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. Private Wilson was carrying wounded from Sugar Refinery regimental aid post to Advanced Dressing Station at
Mailly Maillet during the whole of these operations. The road and its vicinity were continuously under heavy shell fire. His work and example contributed largely to the rapid and successful evacuation of the wounded from the regimental aid post.'
