Attached to Anzac Base, Mudros, 19 December 1915. Disembarked Alexandria from Mudros, 30 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation). Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, France, 6 April 1916. Found guilty, Morbecque, 15 May 1916, of being absent from billet after 9 pm: forfeited 10 days' pay. Admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 2 January 1917 (bronchitis), and transferred to No 1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station; to No 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, Wimereux, 3 January 1917; to England, 16 January 1917, and admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 18 January 1917; transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 9 February 1917.
