Wounded in action, 24 May 1916 (gun shot wound, right hand), and admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance; transferred to NZ Divisional Rest Station, 27 May 1916; discharged to unit, 3 June 1916; rejoined unit, in the field, 4 June 1916. Posed to 12th Battery, 22 January 1917.
