Military Medal 'At Beauvois on 10th October this 2nd Corporal with others of his section was engaged on urgent water supply work. The immediate vicinity was subjected to
heavy shell fire which resulted in several casualties. Despite continued shelling he carried on with the work until completion, thus setting a splendid example of devotion to duty to the remainder of his men.'
