Military Medal 'During the attack east of St Julien on the 4th October 1917, Private WILEY carried despatches from the Brigade Forward Station to the Battalions in the line under very heavy shell and machine gun fire. He volunteered on several occasions for very dangerous work and showed a marked courage and devotion to duty.'
