Military Medal 'For conspicuous good work and devotion to duty during the operations round Crevecoeur from 29th September 1918 to 3rd October 1918. Driver Westhead is in charge of the Brigade Headquarters Limbered Wagon. He is continuously on the move both night and day keeping Headquarters and details supplied with rations, water and supplies over bad roads and in many cases across country covered in wire and trenches. On several occasions it has been necessary for him to get forward through heavy shell fire but he has at all times pushed forward and delivered his supplies promptly. His conduct and devotion to duty has been a splendid example to all who have been dependent on him.'
