Military Medal 'Operations: British Front near Havrincourt Wood, 4th/6th September 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the operations Sergeant Weir, then a Corporal, showed great dash and skillful section leading. In the consolidation in the last position taken he did particularly fine work. He was left in charge of his platoon.'
