Meritorious Service Medal 'This NCO has been CQMS of this Company since October 1917. His work has been of great assistance to the Company and his initiative and energy in operations have been most marked. He is the best NCO in the Company. He left New Zealand with the Main Body as a driver and except for a short period of illness contracted on Gallipoli has been with the Company ever since.'
