Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. This officer has shown marked qualities of leadership and his energy and courageous example under fire has done
much to steady those serving under him. This officer had previously done good work as an Officer on Gallipoli Peninsula, and in France, and was wounded during the Somme Operations. His work has been of a very high order at all times.'
