Military Medal 'Messines Offensive ? 7th to 9th June 1917. Throughout the operations at Messines this man who was a Company Runner repeatedly carried messages over exposed ground under heavy fire. He showed both boldness and resource, and his work in maintaining touch was of the greatest value.'
