Military Medal 'For most conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty during the operations around Bapaume from August 25th to September 2nd 1918. Storry was employed as a Battalion Runner and on six different occasions on August 26th carried through important messages through a heavy barrage. He was always most keen and enthusiastic and always volunteered for any difficult tasks. Later on the evening of the 27th August when all the runners were tired and exhausted and suffering from lack of sleep Storry volunteered to carry an important despatch to the front line companies. He had to pass through an Artillery barrage and heavy machine gun fire. He reached the companies but during his return was wounded in the head. His wonderful courage was an example to all.'
