Military Medal 'In "No Man?s Land", Armentieres in front of T 87 and T 88 for gallant conduct, coolness and determination. He displayed great courage during a severe two hour
enemy retaliation. His behaviour during this very severe test was very reassuring, and he inspired great confidence in his subordinates. This was on the night of 2nd/3rd July 1916.'
