Since the 26th March 1918 his duties have been enormous and trying, and he has performed them in a most
devoted and courageous manner, so that his services have been of inestimable value to the Battalion. In the organisation of ration parties and the upkeep of the supply of ammunitions to the Companies during the recent advance he has given
splendid proof of his worth. In all matters connected with the welfare of the Battalion he has unselfishly and unreservedly done everything in his power to promote its efficiency.'
