'Operations, British Front, Armentieres 7th May to 7th August and the Somme 18th to 19th September 1916. This Officer has done remarkable good work as commander of a company during the last six months. He is full of energy and determination , and a first rate leader of men. During the attack on Flers on the 15th September, Captain Scott showed great dash and boldness in leading his men and pushing out to a forward position where he was wounded.'
