Military Cross 'This Officer has been in charge of the transport and evacuation from XVth Corps Collecting Station since 13th September 1916. By his powers of organisation, his tireless devotion to duty, and his constant personal supervision, he has enabled the work of this Station to be carried out with smoothness and efficiency. Through his efforts, though a very large number of casualties has been dealt with, in no instance has the stream of evacuation been held up for lack of transport or block of traffic. During the past two years this Officer has shown the greatest gallantry and contempt of danger and has been a tower of strength to his Unit.'
