Military Medal 'On the afternoon of the 7th September 1918 near Metz the battery was heavily shelled and 2 men were wounded. Though the shelling continued heavy Corporal Burns and Bombardier Roselli took charge of the stretcher parties and carried the wounded men to a regimental aid post. Here another shell wounded one of the stretcher party and disorganised the regimental aid post wounding several R.A.M.C. men so the two NCOs carried out the three wounded men to a safe regimental aid post under continued shelling and by their coolness and courage got them away to safety. During the recent operations these two NCOs have been conspicuous for their good work throughout.'
