Military Cross 'For excellent work whilst acting as Divisional Requisitioning Officer and as a Supply Officer from September 28th 1916 to February 1917, at the Somme and in Sailly. In September during the Somme offensive this officer when only a Junior Second
Lieutenant took over and with conspicuous success carried out the duties of Supply Officer to Divisional Troops, a duty performed by a senior Captain. He has since performed consistent good work.'
