Proceeded overseas to France, 11 February 1917; joined 1st Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, in the field, 14 March 1917, and relinquished temporary appointment as Lance Corporal. Killed in action, 12 October 1917. Buried, 2nd Anzac Burial Corps, report dated 2 February 1918; grave subsequently lost. Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal |
