Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty at Bancourt on 30th August 1918. When enemy tanks pushed back the flanks of the Battalion, this NCO reorganised his section and other men about him, and held on to his post, directing fire on to the tank and materially assisted in reestablishing the line.'
