Military Medal 'Operations: British front near Havrincourt Wood - 6th September 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the above operation Lance Corporal Munro was assisting the Medical Officer of the R.A.P, where a number of cases were being treated. The enemy commenced shelling very heavily but this N.C.O. quietly continued his work, binding up wounded men and removing them to safety until he was badly wounded by a shell.'
