Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations east of Crevecouer on 8th October 1918. When the advancing line was held up by enemy machine gun fire, Sergeant Moyle displayed great initiative by working round the flank of the enemy line and bombing the posts from the rear. These posts were holding up the advance and were also bringing enfilade fire to bear on the left flank of the 1st Battalion. By his prompt action and his quick use of men on the spot Sergeant Moyle saved many casualties and enabled us to capture several machine guns and 40 prisoners, besides allowing the attack to go forward with little delay.'
