Wounded in action, 12 October 1917 (gun shot wound, right buttock); admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 14 October 1917; transferred to No 3 Australian Field Ambulance, 15 October 1917; to No 3 Canadian Casualty Clearing Station, 15 October 1917; to No 55 General Hospital, Boulogne, 15 October 1917; to England, 20 October 1917, and admitted same day to 1st London General Hospital, Camberwell; transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 12 December 1917; to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 20 January 1918.
