Military Cross For conspicuous good work and devotion to duty during the past three years. Captain Morison has always shown sterling qualities of leadership, and by his untiring energy, coolness under fire, and personal example, has always set a splendid standard and example to his men. Captain Morison left New Zealand with the Main Expeditionary Force, and was present at active operations in Egypt and Gallipoli, prior to coming to France. He has been wounded three times. Mention in Despatches This officer has on a number of occasions done good service and has behaved with the greatest gallantry and has shown a splendid example to his men by his coolness under fire and absence of fear. He has displayed conspicuous ability when he commanded a company in the trenches, for some six weeks after his company commander had been wounded.
