Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For great gallantry on the 26th April, 1915, at Gaba Tepe (DARDANELLES). During the attack on the position he was instrumental in maintaining the supply of ammunition for the machine guns under a very heavy fire, and showed the greatest courage and devotion to duty.'
