Military Medal

'L/Cpl Molloy was in charge of a Lewis gun Section throughout the operations around Flers from 16th to 28th September 1916 and handled his gun daringly and with good judgement. On 25/9/16 during the attack on Factory Corner he pushed his gun well into the front line and did much damage to the enemy. He took his gun forward to an advanced post during the consolidation. On 27/9/16 he was sent forward with the 13th Company and went out to an advanced post. During the night he scattered two enemy parties and showed general alertness and keenness.'
